Information

If you’re just looking to arrange a boat tour, you’re going to get offers as soon as you arrive.

MEKONG TOURS
This small agency books river trips to see the floating market, floating village and the Cham village across the river (it’s $6 per person, minimum three people). A full-day tour (including Sam Mountain, Cam Mountain and Tuc Dup hill) costs $15 per person (minimum three people), or $25 for one person by motorcycle. A bit high. They can also sell tickets to Cambodia and arrange transport to their Mekong Homestay Guesthouse on Sam Mountain.
Tel 076-868-222; www.mekongvietnam.com; 14 Nguyen Huu Canh St; open 7am to 8.30pm daily

HOA SEN BOOKSTORE
Next to Mekong Tours, Mr Long runs this bookstore/café and also leads top-notch, personalized trips of the area for less than Mekong. See Attractions/Boat Tours. You can get area maps, phrasebooks and novels in French and English.
Tel 076-867-817; 14 Nguyen Huu Canh St; open 6am to 8pm daily

Some motorcycle taxi guys, such as Mr Dung (see Transport), double as pretty good guides too.

Internet

Internet access usually comes in ‘games online’ places that fill with kids in the evenings. There’s one on Nguyen Huu Canh St in the center, and on Trung Nu Vuong a couple blocks south of the center. The Victoria hotel has free WiFi access on its ground floor.
